What is

mosterd

Mosterd is a creative community for spirituality, faith and unexpected encounters.

Aimed at bursting bubbles and to seek, share, make, and experiment together.

Flavourful and authentically Gronings, in all kinds of variations, and always combined with good food.

After studying philosophy, I ended up in Groningen for a master’s degree in theology. Now, from a love-hate relationship with the church, enjoying working as a community worker for Diaconie in Stad.

At Mosterd, I am committed to connecting people, by creating space for vulnerability and keeping a sense of wonder alive.

Often busy working on too many projects at the same time, otherwise found at a queer party or on a bicycle trip.

I moved to Groningen for my studies, where I started with Psychology but ended up studying Theology.

During my Theology studies, I became involved with Mosterd. I love the open conversations, the delicious food, and the abundance of creativity at Mosterd!

Other things that make me happy: camping, drinking coffee, a good book, some idealism and a nice run.

Although not originally from Groningen, I have become very attached to this city.

Besides my work as a minister at the Nieuwe Kerk, I have been involved with Mosterd for the past two years. For me, Mosterd is a place of creativity, surprising and inspiring encounters, and heart-to-heart conversations.

I enjoy meeting new people, cooking and (especially) eating, old churches, and my housemates Marten, Maria (baby), and Frons (cat).
